Description
The Academic Specialist Centre is an outpatient service within Region Stockholm, consisting of 5 different units; the Centre for Neurology, the Centre for Rheumatology, the Centre for Diabetes, the Obesity Centre, and a Study Unit.
Research, education, development, and innovation are integrated into daily care operations, with an overarching mission to develop new working methods, innovative use of medical technology, and e-health solutions. We also strive for a high degree of patient participation and collaboration with other healthcare providers and patient associations, as well as creating a person-centered care environment for the patients who turn to us.
Job Responsibilities
The position is linked to the Centre for Neurology, MS (Multiple Sclerosis), where medical knowledge acquisition and treatment research are currently in a very dynamic phase. Together with the rest of the team, you will be responsible for initiating and driving clinical academic and industry-sponsored drug trials. As a research nurse, you will be involved from the initial information provided to patients who are candidates for any of our ongoing clinical trials until they have completed their study participation.
In your role, you provide treatment, perform various tests/checks, handle research samples, manage data entry, and collaborate with study sponsors and other internal and external actors, as well as quality control. Additionally, the focus is on patient recruitment during periods when this is relevant.
Employment Level: 100% (40h/week) full-time, permanent.
Qualifications
- Licensed nurse.
- At least three years of work experience as a nurse.
- Good computer skills (Excel, Word).
Meritorious
Experience working as a research nurse, preferably within neurology.

- Is confident and secure in the role of a nurse and has an interest in clinical drug trials.
- Plans, organizes, and prioritizes work efficiently. You adhere to timeframes and work independently, but do not hesitate to seek support from the study physician and colleagues when needed.
- Is meticulous, stress-resistant, and quality-conscious.
- Has good interpersonal skills and relates to colleagues in a listening and respectful manner.
- Enjoys working in a structured way and has an eye for detail. Is problem-solving oriented and flexible.
Selection will take place first in August.

The position will be filled on the condition that it does not need to be allocated for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.
For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO):
- A register check is applied before a decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new hire examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
- Requires, in addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
