Welcome to Alvik Child Health Centre (BVC)

We carry out family-centered work in close collaboration with parent support services, the Baby and Me program (BMM), and open preschools.
Alvik BVC is part of BHV Stockholm Norra, which includes 15 BVC clinics. This structure facilitates knowledge exchange between clinics, and together with our development manager, we continuously work on improvement and development initiatives based on our clinic's needs. You can read more about us on Alviks BVC.
We have a close collaboration with Brommaplan BVC through joint meetings and activities.
We offer our employees benefits such as flexible working hours, fitness allowances, free open healthcare services, and occupational pension schemes, among others. You can read more about this on Benefits at Stockholm County Council (regionstockholm.se).
Job Responsibilities
As a BVC nurse with us, you will be offered an exciting role with great opportunities for professional development. You will work independently and have responsibility for your own area, while having colleagues and accessible leadership nearby. Training is offered continuously during employment.
We work based on the child health service's health mandate, which includes home visits, health checks for children at key ages, vaccinations, and parent group activities, all tailored to the needs of children and families. We work using the electronic journal system Take Care.
You will work daytime hours only, with no weekends or public holidays. We offer flextime and individual schedules that you can largely influence.
If you have a special interest in breastfeeding, there is an opportunity to work at one of our breastfeeding clinics.
Qualifications
You must be a registered nurse with a specialist education in child and adolescent health or district nursing. Swedish language skills equivalent to level C1 are required within SLSO, as well as good English skills.
Previous experience working within Child Health Services (BHV) is meritorious.
Personal Attributes:
We are looking for someone interested in preventive and health-promoting work. BVC work is largely individual but is also highly collaborative. The ability to see the clinic's needs is a positive trait that is valued. You enjoy building relationships with children and families and thrive when collaborating with other professions. We appreciate that you are flexible, have good communication skills, and can plan your work to suit both yourself and the clinic. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Are you the person who is as stable as you are creative? Someone used to handling many meetings but still full of empathy? Someone passionate about children and their rights? Someone who loves following families on their journey from newborn to school start?
Then you are the right fit for us. You will interact with various types of families and children, which requires flexibility and strong communication skills.
