This position reports to the Service Manager.
ABB Electrification Service Sverige delivers critical services and solutions in low- and medium-voltage across the country – from Malmö in the south to Kiruna in the north. With around 60 employees, we are a growing unit focused on being the best in our niche to improve availability, reliability, predictability, and sustainability in electric power for our customers.
Through a broad portfolio of products and services – including maintenance, modernization, and consulting for low- and medium-voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, relay protection, and related products – we support key industries such as paper & pulp, mining, steel production, energy companies, and utilities.
In the role of Field Service Manager, you are responsible for leading and developing a team of three regional field service managers as well as our workshop located in Västerås. Our assignments range from installation & commissioning to repairs, preventive maintenance, and modifications/extensions of switchgear in low- and medium-voltage. You are responsible for ensuring and developing the availability of field service personnel, including subcontractors and partners, for executing field activities in Sweden. You oversee the development, implementation, and compliance of operational processes with the goal of delivering quality, efficiency, safety, and highest customer satisfaction. You collaborate with sales, project, and contract organizations to analyze future needs and develop our delivery capacity.
Preferred location: Västerås, Karlstad, Skellefteå, Luleå.
Responsibilities
- Ensure and develop the availability of field service competence for Electrification Service in Sweden to deliver our complete service portfolio.
- Own, develop, and implement the strategy for the field service organization at the national level, including organization, competencies, suppliers & partnerships, workshop resources, instruments, and equipment, etc.
- Own, develop, and implement operational processes, instructions, and tools for the organization.
- Ensure implementation and compliance with environmental, safety, and quality requirements (HSE).
- Full responsibility for business and delivery of service orders.
- Responsibility for growth and results for project and contract deliveries through collaboration with project and contract organizations.
- Represent the field service organization and workshop operations in the local management group.
- Build and develop long-term customer relationships in collaboration with sales, project, and contract organizations as well as your own team.
Qualifications
- Experience in leadership within service, industry, technical operations, or similar.
- Good understanding of service processes and customer-oriented work.
- Relevant technical education or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in resource allocation and operational steering.
- Knowledge in occupational health and safety (HSE/OHS).
- Experience in project management or improvement work is advantageous.
- License A or AL is advantageous.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, combined with good communication skills and strong teamwork abilities.
- Structured, solution-oriented, and result-driven.
