As an administrator, you are an important part of the Swedish Armed Forces and the Maritime Warfare Centre's support to conscripts regarding their allowances, benefits, and travel.
About the Training Battalion
The Training Battalion plays a central role in the growth within the Navy. The unit is responsible for the basic training of conscripts. The battalion consists of a battalion staff and two training companies. The workplace is located within the Naval Base and at Kungsholmsfort in Karlskrona. The administrators serve at the training companies and work closely with the company command and platoon leaders.
Main Responsibilities
The role of administrator involves, among other things, mentoring and administering conscripts. You will primarily work with administrative tasks such as:
- Travel, allowance, and grant administration for conscripts
- Orders of goods, equipment, services, and food
- Working time and personnel administration
- Support to the company in the Swedish Armed Forces' administrative systems
- Leading and executing logistics at the company (e.g., food transport, replacement items, warehouse work)
- Participation in safety and security rounds in assigned premises
- Involvement in the unit's activities (training operations, ceremonies, etc.)
- Support to the unit's personnel and operations regarding procurement, premises, material handling, and transport
During exercises, both domestic and international, the role also involves supporting the exercise leadership before, during, and after execution, for example with quartermaster duties and administration of supplies, accommodation, and transport. The role includes responsibility for or follow-up of the unit's premises and materials, such as classrooms, vehicles, lockers, IT equipment, unit equipment, etc. Other study administrative tasks may also occur. The work is primarily office-based, but there may be periods of field work and business travel for training or meetings in other locations. If necessary, work may take place in the evenings and on weekends on isolated occasions.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Completed upper secondary education
- Good IT skills in the Office package
- Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing
- Category B driver's license, manual transmission
Personal Attributes
The work requires that you have excellent teamwork skills, are stress-resistant, independent, meticulous, and able to prioritize tasks. Furthermore, you should feel confident speaking and informing/training in front of a group, have a good sense of order, and a willingness to learn and develop. As a person, you are social and service-oriented, as the work involves daily collaboration with officers, conscripts, and other stakeholders within the garrison. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
MERITORIOUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Completed military basic training, and/or employment in the Swedish Armed Forces
- Experience in logistics service, adjutant training, and service as an adjutant and within the Swedish Armed Forces (FM)
- Experience working in SAP/PRIO systems
- Experience with travel administration
- Current and relevant work experience in education or administration
- Driver's license for military vehicles
Other Information
Employment type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces apply a 6-month probationary period for those not already employed by the agency.

The Maritime Warfare Centre's overarching task is to support naval units with logistics in the form of transport, basing, guarding, and healthcare, both domestically and abroad.
