About the Teledrifttroppen Unit

The 124th Teledrifttroppen supports Wing 7 (F7) with the maintenance of critical systems for the daily operations of the wing and the airbase. We actively work on maintaining airbase-critical systems such as landing/navigation aids, weather service systems, radio equipment, and more. The main technical competency areas you will work with are Electrical and Power Supply, IT, Telecommunications, as well as Radar and Radio.

By ensuring the availability of these systems, we enable combat, transport aircraft, and helicopters to take off and land safely.

Main Responsibilities

• Maintain the technical support systems used by the wing and airbase in their daily operations.
• Develop your technical competence by completing training on the systems we work with.
• Participate in projects involving the introduction of new equipment and systems.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical education, such as upper secondary education with a focus on IT, electrical, engineering, or equivalent knowledge.
• Category B driver's license for manual transmission.
• Proficiency in technical English and Swedish in both speech and writing.
• Good physical condition.
• Swedish citizenship.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Knowledge of network technology (routing and switching, Cisco CUCM, Windows Server, DNS).
• Knowledge/experience in IT operations.
• Knowledge in electrical, power supply, and backup power systems (electrical qualifications or experience working with electricity).
• Knowledge in radio and telecommunications (telecom infrastructure, fiber optics).
• Knowledge in navigation and landing aids.
• Knowledge in meteorological systems and sensors.
• Previous work experience in one or more technical fields and/or airport operations.
• Completed military service or GMU (Swedish Civil Defence Training).
• Previous experience with the Swedish Armed Forces' IT systems.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. The lowest placement for this position is 32,000 SEK/month. We also take previous work experience and competence into consideration.

The position requires physical and mental fitness. Travel in the course of duty occurs for both work and personal training. Since both the position and tasks are linked to a wartime organization, you will also be assigned to wartime duties within our organization. This means, among other things, that you will receive training on what is expected of you during heightened readiness.

Skaraborg Wing is a versatile and unique air wing. It hosts combat aircraft as well as the Swedish Armed Forces' combined resources of transport and special aircraft. We conduct basic and occupational training for conscript recruits and train all Swedish and foreign Gripen pilots. The wing also participates in many operations. In Sweden, the operations are located in Såtenäs, Malmen, Arlanda, and Karlsborg. Abroad, we are responsible for Gripen support in Thailand and for the Swedish personnel at the international transport aviation cooperation Heavy Airlift Wing in Hungary.
