The Swedish Electrical Safety Authority (Elsäkerhetsverket) works for a safe life with electricity. The Swedish Electrical Safety Authority is looking for inspectors with a focus on market surveillance who want to work towards making everyday life safer for everyone who uses electricity. Here, you will have the opportunity to influence, develop, and contribute to a society where electrical products are safe.

In our team at the Product Division, we are eight employees who learn from each other and develop together. We are in an exciting phase where we are developing our working methods to meet future requirements – and you will play a key role here. You will be located at our headquarters in Kristinehamn together with the rest of the division.

At the Product Division, we work to ensure that electrical products on the Swedish market meet the EU's high requirements for safety and electromagnetic compatibility. This includes, among other things:

• reviewing electrical products and technical documentation
• analyzing test results and risks
• following up on cases and, if necessary, deciding on measures
• communicating with companies, users, as well as other authorities and organizations.

You will also have opportunities to contribute to accident prevention work through standardization within Swedish Electrical Standards (SEK), regulation development together with our lawyers, and cooperation with other authorities within market surveillance in Sweden and the EU. The role gives you great opportunities to influence both your own working day and electrical safety in society.

We are looking for someone who

We are looking for someone who wants to work with controlling that electrical products meet EU safety requirements. We believe you enjoy combining technical analysis with communication and collaboration. You thrive when you get to take responsibility, share knowledge, and contribute to developing the business together with others. In the role of inspector, you will, together with us, assess how products meet European safety requirements. You will have contact with companies and other authorities. There are also good opportunities to develop the position based on your competencies and interests, such as working with communication in various forms, standardization, and participating in cooperation forums.

You need to have

• Relevant technical education or equivalent experience
• Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
• Good collaboration skills and confidence in working independently.

It is an advantage if you also have

• Experience working with electrical products or product safety
• Experience interpreting technical reports, regulations, and investigations
• Good knowledge of English
• Category B driver's license.
