RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to influence business decisions in one of the world's leading industrial groups? As a Business Controller at Stora Enso in Skoghall, you will play a central role in the operations, working closely with production and management to strengthen profitability, efficiency, and long-term competitiveness.

You will serve as a key business partner to the operations, contributing with analyses, forecasts, and financial decision support that impact both daily operations and future investments. The role involves numerous contact points and close collaboration with production, supply chain, and other support functions. Your main responsibilities include:

• Acting as a Business Partner to managers and operations regarding financial and business matters.
• Analyzing results, costs, production, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify improvement opportunities.
• Managing budgets, forecasts, follow-ups, and scenario analyses.
• Preparing investment calculations, business cases, and decision support materials.
• Identifying deviations and driving improvement work together with the operations.
• Developing reporting, processes, and data-driven ways of working.
• Supporting and acting as backup to the Business Unit Controller when needed.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are an experienced Business Controller with strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in operations and business. You thrive in a role where you can combine analysis with influence and naturally collaborate with different parts of the organization. To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

• An academic degree in economics, industrial economics, or equivalent.
• Experience in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
• Experience from manufacturing industry, preferably process industry.
• A good understanding of the link between production, economics, and business.
• Experience in business calculations and financial decision support.
• Very good skills in Excel as well as experience with ERP and reporting systems.
• A good understanding of accounting and financial principles.
• Very good proficiency in Swedish and English.
