Do you want to lead the development of future authority operations within care and social services? We are looking for a secure, experienced, and communicative leader for the Authority Department. You will have overall responsibility for approximately 200 employees and drive development towards a more individualized and legally secure operation. Are you ready for one of the most important tasks in the welfare sector? Apply today!
The Authority Department within the Care and Social Services Administration is in a clear development phase. We are developing our working methods to a higher degree based on the individual's needs, participation, and influence, while safeguarding legal security, quality, and equal treatment.
Your assignment
The assignment is characterized by major societal changes. An aging population, changed expectations of welfare, and an increased focus on individualized interventions place new demands on how we develop future care and social services. As Department Manager, you will have a central role in this development. You lead an operation with approximately 200 employees and are responsible for operations, economy, personnel, and development. You are part of the Administration Director's leadership group and work on behalf of both the Elderly Affairs Committee and the Social Care Committee.
Here you have the opportunity to lead an operation that meets people in some of life's most crucial situations. Together with managers and employees, you develop authority operations within elderly care, social psychiatry, and the Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS), with a focus on the individual's needs, high quality, and legally secure assessments.
This is an assignment for you who want to combine strategic leadership with a clear focus on those the operation serves. By creating conditions for employees to succeed, you contribute to people receiving the support they need to live an independent life.
Your background
We are looking for you who have experience leading larger operations, preferably within the public sector, and who have documented experience in change and development work.
Furthermore, we see that you have:
- Experience as a manager at a strategic level, including operational, personnel, budget, and result responsibility
- Experience leading managers
- Experience working within authority operations
- Experience working within social services or healthcare
- Experience with systematic work environment work
- Experience leading development and change work
- University degree
Meritorious qualifications include:
- Leadership training
- Knowledge of LOV (The Choice System) and LOU (The Public Procurement Act)
You are secure in your leadership and have the ability to create engagement and participation in change processes. You communicate clearly and build trusting relationships within the organization. Furthermore, you see both the big picture and the person behind the decision. You are driven by developing operations that create value for those they serve and have a strategic approach with the ability to view issues from a long-term and overarching perspective.
