At Academic Work, on behalf of Ditwin, we are looking for a PLM Specialist who wants to help shape the future of digital product development. In this role, you will become a key person in the work of implementing, developing, and managing modern PLM solutions – with a focus on creating value and ensuring efficient handling of product data throughout the entire product lifecycle.

This is a direct recruitment where you will be employed directly by Ditwin.

About the role

As a PLM Specialist, you act as the link between the business and IT. You work closely with functions such as R&D, production, purchasing, and external system suppliers to ensure that the PLM platform supports the business's needs in the best possible way.

You will work both strategically and operationally to develop PLM applications, processes, and drive digitalization. As part of Ditwin, you will work on technology-oriented assignments for customers in the manufacturing industry, where innovation and business development are in focus. Together with the customers, you contribute to developing systems and processes so that customers can create digital twins and smarter ways of working within product development and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, develop, and manage PLM systems and associated processes
  • Identify improvement opportunities and develop efficient ways of working for product data and workflows
  • Responsible for integrations between PLM and business-critical systems, such as CAD, ERP, and MES
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions in their PLM system
  • Contribute to customers' digitalization journey by developing solutions that enable an efficient and sustainable digital twin

We are looking for you who have

  • Relevant post-secondary education in IT, systems science, mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience
  • At least 3–5 years of experience working with established PLM systems, such as Teamcenter, Aras, Windchill, or 3DEXPERIENCE
  • Good understanding of product development processes and experience from product development, production, manufacturing, or purchasing
  • Experience with CAD systems and how they are integrated with PLM
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is meritorious if you have

  • Experience in project management or agile ways of working
  • Knowledge in SQL, Oracle, or programming/scripting
  • Experience with integrations between PLM and ERP systems
  • Experience from the manufacturing industry or process industry
  • Previous responsibility for implementation, management, or development of PLM or similar business-critical systems
