We are now looking for a developer with a genuine interest in GIS or a GIS specialist who enjoys coding to join ForestX, which develops advanced systems to streamline forestry operations. As a GIS Developer at ForestX, you will become part of a long-term development project with one of Sweden's largest forestry players. Together, you will develop digital solutions that help the client plan, analyze, and manage forest land using GIS, satellite data, and other geographic information.

You will be part of a team of approximately ten people, working closely with software developers and architects. In this role, you will contribute your GIS expertise and help develop solutions that handle large amounts of geodata linked to, among other things, forest stands and forest planning.

ForestX develops platforms and decision support systems that combine GIS, laser scanning, satellite data, and advanced data models to create more sustainable and efficient forestry. At the same time, requirements for traceability and compliance with regulations are increasing, making GIS a central part of future digital solutions in the forestry sector.

• Development and further development of GIS solutions on the ESRI platform
• Configuration and implementation of ESRI products in complex system environments
• Close collaboration with developers and architects
• Contribute specialist knowledge in GIS architecture and technical decision-making

• Have experience with GIS tools and the surrounding ecosystem, such as ESRI, QGIS, or similar
• Have experience setting up and designing software platforms/systems in complex development projects

At ForestX, you will work with complex GIS data on a large scale. Historical data spanning nearly 70 years is handled here, information used not only to understand how the forest has developed over time but also to create decision support that helps forest owners plan future actions and more sustainable forestry.
