About the Role
We are now looking for a substitute to join our wonderful team in HR-direct. HR-direct is part of the Personnel Unit and serves as a support function assisting all managers at Region Dalarna with questions across the entire HR spectrum. In addition to HR-direct, the Personnel Unit includes functions for business-oriented HR support, competence supply, negotiations/work environment and health, as well as payroll and HR systems. In total, we have approximately 100 employees.

Responsibilities
In the role of HR Generalist, you will support the Region's managers via phone and email. You will serve as a sounding board in salary setting, guide in contract drafting, interpret laws and collective agreements, and support managers in recruitment and rehabilitation. Consequently, you will acquire broad competence within the entire HR field. As an HR Generalist, you should know a little about everything, but each generalist also has one or more focus areas in which they deepen their expertise.
At HR-direct, we handle both matters that can be answered quickly and those that require more investigation. Furthermore, the role involves close collaboration with both colleagues in the team and other employees within the Personnel Unit. This is to jointly create the best support for our managers.
We are also engaged in active development work where we increasingly take advantage of opportunities with AI and digitalization. This involves both streamlining our working methods and creating even better conditions for value-creating and accessible HR support. Therefore, we would be happy if you have an interest in development and wish to contribute to this journey.
The position is a fixed-term appointment planned to start in September 2026 and run until August 2027.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources and Work Life or equivalent, which we assess as comparable.
- Very good communication skills in both speech and writing.
- Good system proficiency and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new digital tools.
- Experience from service and/or HR from previous roles.
