We are now looking for a Project Manager and a Senior Project Manager who want to contribute to the energy systems of the future. Here, you will lead innovation projects in close collaboration with industry, the public sector, authorities, and academia – from idea and application to implementation, utilization, and scaling. You will lead projects, develop collaborations, and contribute energy and sustainability expertise to assignments that create concrete societal benefits. Depending on your experience, you will work at a more operational or strategic level. We are looking for both you, who have a few years of project management experience and want to develop further, and you, who have extensive experience leading complex projects and want to contribute to the continued development of the energy sector.

An example of a project is Elflexibel Industri, a national initiative within advanced digitalization where we, together with industry actors, develop and demonstrate solutions for flexible energy use.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading and monitoring innovation projects within flexible and robust energy systems, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and related areas
• Coordinating cross-disciplinary project groups and collaborations with partners and funders
• Developing, demonstrating, and scaling up new solutions together with industry, societal actors, and academia
• Contributing to applications, new project ideas, business development, and long-term collaboration relationships
• Communicating the project's results, progress, and benefits to various target groups

About you

We are looking for you who are engaged in energy and sustainability issues and are driven by getting people, technology, and ideas to interact. You are structured, communicative, and confident in leading work forward together with others. We also believe that you are curious, proactive, and generous in sharing your knowledge to create benefit and results.

We are looking for you who have:

• An academic degree in a relevant field, such as energy technology, electrical engineering, or digitalization
• Competence in power systems and electricity systems, as well as experience from the energy sector – energy transition, energy systems, or energy-intensive industry
• Experience in coordinating or leading projects, preferably in collaboration between several actors
• Good ability to build trusting relationships and drive work from idea to result
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

For the role of Senior Project Manager, we would also like you to have:

• Several years of experience leading complex projects, programs, or larger collaboration initiatives
• Experience initiating projects, developing applications, conducting client dialogues, and contributing to business development
• Ability to identify new opportunities, build long-term collaborations, and contribute to the strategic development of the energy sector

About the employment and application

The position is a permanent full-time employment (probationary period usually applies).

The location is Gothenburg with a centrally located office next to Chalmers campus.
