Your Role

Do you want to work with some of the world's most advanced aircraft systems in a role where you truly make a difference in daily operations? At Saab, you have the opportunity to combine technology, analysis, and practical work in a business-close environment. Engineering is responsible for technical services within the maintenance of Mechanics, Hydraulics, Safety Equipment, and Structure for both military and civil aircraft systems.

In the role of Maintenance Engineer, you work close to the operational activities and serve as a technical support for both internal and external customers. You will have a varied daily routine where you solve concrete problems, analyze operations, and contribute to improvements that are noticeable in practice.

Your responsibilities include among other things:

• technical investigations and troubleshooting in real operational cases
• analysis of operations and maintenance to improve availability and functionality
• certification of maintained equipment
• development of modifications and improvement proposals
• development of maintenance instructions and technical documentation
• development of test and maintenance equipment

You also participate in projects, contribute to technical development, and may have the opportunity to train others in your area.

An important part of the role is to support the maintenance workshop with your technical expertise and contribute to quotation and calculation work together with the marketing function.

Here you are offered an independent and developing role with great variation, where you work both analytically and practically. Travel may occur, both within Sweden and internationally, and there are good opportunities for overseas assignments over time.

The position is located in Malmslätt, Linköping, and involves daytime hours.

Your Profile

You are a practical technician or university engineer who thrives close to reality - where technology is used, maintained, and improved in operation. Perhaps you currently work with maintenance, production, or technical support and want to take the next step in a more varied and developing role.

We are looking for you who have:

• a technical education at university level, for example a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• experience in maintenance, production, or technical support
• an interest in mechanics, hydraulics, or structures

It is an advantage if you have worked with technical documentation or maintenance at the system or component level.

The role is clearly business-close and suits you who enjoy working close to operations, maintenance, and workshops - where theory is turned into practical solutions. You are motivated by solving concrete technical problems and seeing the results of your work in daily operations.

You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.
