Department Manager, Industrial Piping

Do you want to become part of a friendly and non-hierarchical team where engagement, development, and collaboration are in focus? We are now looking for a project-leading Department Manager for our Industrial Piping department.

We are looking for you who have experience in project management within industry, contracting, or construction with a focus on piping, and who want to drive technical projects from start to finish in a company with high competence and strong team spirit.

About the job

As the Department Manager for industrial piping, you play a key role in our operations and are responsible for driving the department's projects from the early stages to final delivery. You report to the Business Area Manager for Pressurized Products and Piping, have overall responsibility for the department as well as the projects' economy, schedule, quality, environment, and working environment. In this role, you are expected to build up and develop the industrial piping department, which currently generates a turnover of approximately 100 MSEK, and you will become an important part of our continued growth journey where you get to influence how development proceeds.

The role involves working on the development of existing customers, preparing offers, and ensuring that projects are carried out according to current agreements, routines, and legal requirements. You are the manager of the industrial piping department but also work as a project manager for the department's projects, lead technical reviews prior to project start, and ensure that installation supervisors and foremen have the right conditions and information to perform their work. Furthermore, you are responsible for project documentation such as risk analyses, working environment plans, schedules, quality plans, and final documentation, as well as handling EOT (Extension of Time) works and waiting times. An important part of the role is to follow up on project status and report to the BA Manager, as well as actively contribute to developing and improving operations.

We are looking for

We are looking for you who have technical competence and relevant experience within industrial piping or a related field, as well as documented experience in project management. You are a confident and experienced leader who works in a structured, business-like, and solution-oriented manner, with the ability to make decisions within the project's framework. A broad network and good understanding of industry players create good conditions for success in the role.

You thrive in collaboration with both internal and external parties and have a good understanding of QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) work. The role requires good IT skills, primarily within Microsoft Office/365, as well as very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing. Experience with the business system Pyramid is meritorious.

Scope and location
Full-time. Based in Norrköping, but travel as part of the job is included.
Requirement: B-driver's license
