We are now looking for a Shift Leader for reception and restaurant at Scandic Mölndal.

What does the role of Shift Leader Front Office/Restaurant entail?
You, who work in our restaurant and reception, are the first person the guest meets at the hotel. Therefore, it is of great importance that you have a warm welcome and are attentive to details and the guest's needs. You are the hub that ensures the guest is always in focus.
You have a burning interest in food and drink and like order and discipline, both in your own and your colleagues' work. All to give our guests a fantastic overall experience. You pay attention to the details, solve most things, and are a star at turning an unhappy guest into a satisfied one.
Your main tasks include serving food and drink, managing your own cash register, and checking guests in and out. You welcome guests and provide them with the information they need about their stay. You handle bookings in the Opera Cloud system as well as administrative work related to guests, security, and sales. You also support the hotel team with other tasks as needed.
In the role of Shift Leader, you are responsible for the hospitality of the entire hotel, both towards guests and employees. In addition to being part of the daily operations, you have an overall overview of guest flow in both the restaurant and reception. Together with the team, you ensure that tasks are prioritized so that the business runs smoothly and guests are satisfied.
You lead and distribute the work and manage staffing during your shift. If needed, you have the opportunity to train new employees at the hotel, and you relieve both the Restaurant Manager and Front Office Manager with certain administrative tasks.
Your Competence
For this role, you need both the ability and willingness to work with operational leadership. You are confident in your leadership and have both integrity and sales drive. To fit the role, we also believe you have a well-developed social skill and are capable of handling that many different things happen simultaneously. It is very important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel's guests. You are an attentive and unpretentious team player who takes great responsibility for your tasks and the overall result.
You also have experience and knowledge in working with computers as a work tool.
Since the work largely consists of communicating with guests, good knowledge of Swedish and English is a prerequisite. Speaking an additional language is an advantage.

The position is a permanent employment at 80% to full time.
