The City Services Department has an important and exciting mission to deliver, coordinate, and develop services for residents and departments in the City of Mölndal. The department has approximately 550 employees and is organized into four business areas; food and facility maintenance, water and recycling, city maintenance, and support and customer service.

Together with your 140 colleagues in 70 kitchens in the food unit, we create the best possible meal every day by focusing on the guest and being responsive in dialogue with our customers. Our goal is to prepare meals as close to the guest as possible. Therefore, we have mostly production kitchens. We follow the Swedish Food Agency's guidelines for Good Meals in School/Preschool.

You will be placed in the kitchen at Fässbergsskolan in central Mölndal, which is a school for students in grades 4–9. Here, approximately 900 lunch portions are prepared daily for Fässbergsskolan's students and educators, as well as dispatches to the upper secondary school. Snacks are served to the school's after-school activities.

You are visible, present, and active in the operations, both for the work group and the dining room guests, and ensure high quality and service levels. Sustainability is part of your mission, and you have an environmentally and climate-adapted way of working.

The work includes both practical and administrative tasks, including participation in food councils, recipe, menu, and purchasing planning, as well as self-control, follow-up of budget and operations, invoice handling, and working in diet software.

You also have a supporting and supervisory role in nearby schools and preschools together with the unit manager in the geographical area. You participate in the city's Chef group, which drives the development of meals together with business developers.
