Are you generally handy, enjoy variety in your workday, and thrive in an environment where no two days are alike? We are now looking for an engaged and responsible property caretaker/gardener who wants to take a central responsibility for the daily operations and maintenance of our buildings and grounds at a top-level dressage stable.

About the role

In this role, you are responsible for the daily property maintenance within defined areas, working closely with the site manager and according to our operation and maintenance plan (O&M). You are a key person in keeping our buildings, installations, and outdoor environments in top condition, and you actively contribute to quality and development within your areas of responsibility. You also have the opportunity to distribute work to subcontractors on-site and assist other departments.

You report to the Foreman/Site Manager as well as the Facility Supervisor.

Your responsibilities

  • Participate in daily maintenance and work performed by subcontractors
  • Patrol buildings and grounds according to the O&M plan and exercise installations (e.g., plumbing)
  • Report, document, and follow up on defects and fault reports in internal systems
  • Perform property repairs within your area of expertise
  • Daily monitoring of control and regulation equipment
  • Maintain irrigation systems
  • Harvest riding arenas/indoor arenas and manure paddocks using machinery and manually
  • Coordinate and assist with events and arrangements
  • Be helpful during subcontractor visits, service visits, and agreed maintenance
  • Contribute to improving maintenance plans, routines, manuals, and checklists
  • Be helpful during inventory of equipment and materials
  • Ensure that laws and regulations are followed in daily work

The work includes among other things the following areas: Water and sewage, control & regulation (alarms, daily control, on-call, service agreements), ventilation, lighting, electricity, interior, general maintenance, storage & equipment, and ongoing documentation.

Desired qualifications

  • Experience driving wheel loaders, excavators, tractors, etc.
  • C-driving license (heavy truck)
  • Generally handy with experience in property maintenance or similar practical work
  • Good social competence
