About Passalen

Passalen is a non-profit association working for a more inclusive society that sees the potential in every child. We create inclusion for children and young people with disabilities who need support in organizing their leisure time, finding a friend, or trying out holiday jobs. We also run activities that promote meetings between people.

Program-specific information

Passalen’s activities are carried out through various programs and projects. In this role, you will work within the Clubs by Passalen program. Clubs by Passalen offers children and young people with disabilities the opportunity to participate in open leisure activities, such as those at youth clubs, swimming pools, and sports facilities. We act as a bridge to enable children and young people with disabilities to take part in open leisure time. We maintain dialogue with participants to create the best possible conditions for each individual's participation.

Through the program, participants receive support to engage in various activities, such as crafts, gaming, board games, and sports. The goal is to help participants meet new friends, develop their social skills, and increase their participation in society.

We also engage in outreach work to reach our target group and inform them that we exist. We do this by contacting participants via phone and by visiting schools and other places where the target group is located.

Job Description

Your work as an activity coach primarily involves facilitating various clubs in open leisure time together with our participants. A club could, for example, be an activity at a youth club, such as baking, playing video games, or doing crafts, a visit to a swimming pool, or trying out a sport. You actively participate in the organized activities and support all participants in joining in based on their conditions, abilities, and needs. You are there as a role model and friend for Passalen's participants, with the task of ensuring that every participant feels seen and welcome. Collaboration is a key part of the role; you should enjoy working in a team but also be able to work independently. Your main goal is to facilitate the inclusion of Passalen's participants in regular leisure activities.

You also plan individual activities and school visits in consultation with your nearest manager. During activities, you may have additional responsibility for the execution, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and that all participants feel safe and engaged. In addition to the practical work with activities, some simpler administrative tasks may arise, such as documentation or creating materials in Canva for communication and planning. You need to be proactive, self-reliant, and capable of driving the work forward based on the job description and schedule.

The work will primarily be located in Stockholm North (Sundbyberg, Järfälla, Sollentuna, and Vallentuna) as well as at our office in Handen.

This is a fixed-term full-time position from 2026-08-17 to 2026-12-31 with a possibility of extension.
