Do you want to help develop the future short-term care facilities in Uppsala Municipality? We are looking for an engaged Business Developer who wants to contribute to safe, high-quality, and person-centered care where both users and relatives are at the center. Here, you will combine operational work in the facilities with strategic development work.
I am Therese Lundgren, responsible for the recruitment, and I am the Area Manager for Early Interventions. For me, it is important that we together create a high-quality operation where employees have the right conditions to do a good job and where users and their relatives feel secure.
The mission of the operation is to develop preventive and accessible interventions, based on knowledge and evidence, so that more citizens can receive support at an early stage. The goal of the interventions is for residents of Uppsala to be able to live an independent and healthy life for as long as possible. The department houses several operations, including meeting points, day activities, support for relatives, and security patrols.
The operation covers several units, including Sävja with 20 short-term beds focused on dementia care, and Svartbäcken with 58 beds focused on nursing care.
About the role
As a Business Developer for the short-term units, you are responsible for ensuring the quality of the operation by updating routines, checklists, and ombudsman roles in step 1, developing teamwork with licensed personnel, and conducting internal controls. This is complemented by implementation work together with the employees at the units.
You work operationally close to the activity together with employees while maintaining a strategic perspective and contributing with analysis and a holistic view. In the role, you support staff through method meetings and competence development in both theory and practice, and drive development work to strengthen care quality for users and relatives. The work is carried out in close collaboration with responsible operation/unit managers and licensed personnel. In addition, you will have close cooperation with the support function in the department for Quality and Development.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Design sustainable routines and checklists and conduct internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance
- Plan and conduct method meetings and training, and provide practical guidance to employees. Also participate in nursing work with the aim of mentoring employees.
- Act as a sounding board in deviation management together with the operation manager and use the content of the deviations in quality work from a learning perspective
- Coordinate and develop ombudsman roles and clarify assignments and expectations
- Drive development work that leads to improvement and efficiency of the short-term units
- Implement national guidelines and relevant quality registers
- Develop targeted training initiatives based on the needs of the operations and the individual knowledge level of employees
- Ensure that employees complete mandatory training, which is done in collaboration with operation managers
Qualifications
Requirements
- You are a licensed nurse
- You have experience in municipal primary care (at least 3 years)
- You have experience in development work
- You can communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing, which is a prerequisite for patient safety and correct documentation
Merits
- Knowledge of change management
- Good knowledge of national guidelines/quality registers within care and social services.
Personal qualities
In the role of Business Developer, a high degree of independence is required, where you take initiative and drive the work forward in a responsible manner. You are flexible and able to adapt to the changing needs and conditions of the operations. You will rotate between the operations and are based at Svartbäcksgården.
You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working closely with both employees and managers to develop the operation together. At the same time, you work in a structured manner, plan and prioritize your work well, and ensure that tasks are followed up, completed, and maintain high quality. You report to the Area Manager.
