Uppsalahem is Uppsala's leading housing company and has approximately 300 dedicated employees managing our portfolio of around 18,000 apartments. With us, you will work on something of great significance to people: their homes. We are now looking for a Sustainability Specialist who wants to take a central role in developing our ecological sustainability work – with a special focus on reduced climate impact, sustainability reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Your Role
As a Sustainability Specialist, you will be a central support function responsible for driving, coordinating, and monitoring sustainability work within the ecological field across the entire organization. You will work both strategically and operationally, playing a key role in ensuring quality, structure, and transparency in our sustainability reporting.
You will drive the development towards reduced climate impact and ensure that sustainability efforts are integrated into governance, monitoring, and decision-making – in line with increasing requirements from legislation, owners, and other stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
- Drive, develop, and ensure the quality of sustainability reporting, including data collection, analysis, and monitoring
- Ensure that environmental and climate data are integrated into annual and sustainability reports
- Coordinate and further develop reporting according to CSRD, ESRS, and the EU Taxonomy
- Develop, monitor, and analyze climate goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and metrics
- Ensure structure, traceability, and internal control in sustainability data
- Drive, develop, and support work to reduce the organization's climate impact
- Drive, develop, and support audit processes, including supplier audits as well as internal and external audits
- Manage and develop the environmental management system according to ISO 14001
- Report sustainability outcomes to management, the board, and external parties
- Participate in risk management and internal control related to environmental and climate issues
- Participate in and lead internal and external development projects
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone who:
- holds a university or college degree in sustainable development with a focus on environmental issues
- has experience with sustainability reporting and monitoring
- has a good understanding of sustainability regulations (e.g., CSRD/ESRS)
- has experience with emission calculation frameworks, such as the GHG Protocol
- is analytical and accustomed to working structured with data, figures, and quality assurance
- expresses yourself very well verbally and in writing in Swedish
Merits
- Experience from the real estate or urban development sector
- Experience with environmental management and ISO 14001
- Experience in procurement and environmental or climate requirements
- Project management experience
