Psykosvård Stockholm is a newly established unit within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO). Here, we consolidate care for patients over 18 years old with psychotic disorders into one organizational unit. We offer assessment, investigation, and treatment according to national guidelines and regional care programs. Within Psykosvård Stockholm, we conduct development work, education, and research regarding psychotic disorders. We work in multiprofessional teams to ensure the best possible care and treatment for the patient.
Ward 130/PIVA is located at Danderyd Hospital and consists of two parts: PIVA, a smaller unit with 6 beds for intensive care of severely ill patients with acute psychiatric conditions, and Ward 130, which has 10 beds for the care of psychotic patients. We treat patients under both voluntary and involuntary care. We have established a stable foundation in our working methods and maintain close cooperation with outpatient clinics. We have an experienced staff with good staffing levels of both nurses and assistant nurses, always focusing heavily on working environment and patient safety.
Job Description
As an assistant nurse here, you work in a team with nurses and other assistant nurses. Your duties include, for example, support conversations, nursing care, documentation in the medical record system TakeCare, and routine practical tasks on an acute psychiatric ward.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are an assistant nurse with proof of protected professional title and have previous experience working in psychiatric care. The position involves being able to step in with short notice, as well as helping out during scheduled periods when permanent staff are absent.
We see that you as an applicant are flexible and can prioritize, plan, and perform your tasks, quickly adapting to changed circumstances. As our team often works at a high pace, it is required that you are good at collaborating and communicating with your colleagues, even in pressured situations. We often care for severely ill patients, so it is important that you, as an assistant nurse, are calm, secure, and attentive to the patient's needs. You enjoy working closely with patients in their care and can work independently, while also appreciating working together with other professional categories to provide the patient with the best possible care.
Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
We Offer
The position is an intermittent employment with varying degree of employment, and the work is primarily scheduled during night shifts in the summer, but may extend longer during the year.

For patient-facing work within Stockholm County Council (SLSO):
- A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment health examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
- In addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirement is guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
