About the position
The Medical Unit for Health Professions plays a vital role in the care provided at Karolinska University Hospital. Within the section for Neuro, Intensive Care, Cardiovascular, and Emergency Care, occupational therapists and physiotherapists meet patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. We are now seeking a physiotherapist for our neurological outpatient clinic. Here, you will meet engaged and knowledgeable colleagues and have the opportunity to work in a stimulating and multidisciplinary work environment.
As a physiotherapist, you will be part of a team where you contribute your expertise to meet the patient's needs for assessment and treatment. You will become a key resource for patients in team efforts regarding the assessment of neurological deficits, treatment of patients with complex neurological and neuromuscular diseases, and participation in the patient's assessment for ongoing treatment planning.
In this role, you will work with the assessment, treatment, and follow-up of patients in neurological outpatient care. The work includes, among other things, individual clinic visits, group training in the gym, and pool therapy. You work in a person-centered manner with the goal of promoting the patient's mobility, participation, and quality of life. A key part of the assignment is also the close interprofessional collaboration, where you participate in team rounds and, together with other professions, plan and follow up on patients' rehabilitation.
This advertisement concerns a full-time temporary position lasting one year. Weekend duty and supervision of students may be included in the assignment.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Licensed physiotherapist with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare.
- Experience in independently assessing, guiding, and treating patients with neurological conditions.
Merits:
- Experience working in inpatient or outpatient care with neurological patients.
- Master's degree.
- Specialist competence in neurology.
