The Child and Education Administration has overall responsibility for preschool, school, and upper secondary school. In total, we have approximately 600 employees who together work with education and development for the age group 1-19 years. Furulundsgymnasiet is centrally located in Sölvesborg and has over 600 students attending both vocational preparatory programs and university preparatory programs, adapted upper secondary school, and the introduction program. RESPONSIBILITIES

The position includes mentorship and teaching based on the upper secondary school curriculum. As a mentor, you will be responsible for a mentor class, conduct development conferences, follow up on absences, and continuously maintain a dialogue with students about their study situation. There are also situations where you need to inform and collaborate with guardians, for example by providing information on how studies work.

You are driven and enjoy collaborating with colleagues and other staff, viewing the program team/collegium as a natural and important part of the developmental work focused on the student. Furthermore, you assess, analyze, and document the individual student's needs and results, and are responsible for ensuring the student is involved in their own development and progression.

You take an active role in the student's development and collaborate in various forums with colleagues, guardians, student health teams, school leadership, and potentially external parties. You also actively participate in the school's preventive work, which can be initiated by, for example, the student health team.

In the role of a teacher, you create a safe and developmental learning environment that creates good conditions for learning and development. You take great account of the student's individual prerequisites and needs with the aim of enabling the student to reach their individual goals based on their own prerequisites. You build trusting relationships with students and other partners characterized by positive expectations. The position also involves participating in the school's marketing work by actively attending, for example, fairs and open house events.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a certified upper secondary school teacher in the subject of Natural Sciences. You are driven and enjoy taking personal responsibility while having good collaboration skills and seeing the good in working together.

Furthermore, we would like you to have experience working at an upper secondary school and an interest in working with young people, and above all, mentorship. We are looking for you who meet students based on their individual prerequisites and needs. It is also of great importance that you can adapt your teaching to the target group and thereby find individual solutions that help the student reach their goals.

We place great value on your commitment, your pedagogical competence, and your ability to inspire students and collaborate with colleagues.
