Your role as a consultant in system safety

As a System Safety Engineer, you play a key role in the development of tomorrow's military technical systems. You contribute to ensuring that system safety (distinct from information security) is integrated and considered throughout the entire development process to guarantee secure and reliable solutions.

Together with customers, designers, developers, and users, you plan and drive the system safety work to ensure that set safety requirements are met. Through analyses and risk assessments, you identify, evaluate, and minimize risks associated with both hardware and software, as well as the interaction between humans and technology. The goal is to prevent accidents and create safe solutions for people, businesses, and the environment.

The work gives you the opportunity to follow systems from early development phases all the way through to their approval for use. Depending on the assignment, you may also work with Human Factors, where the focus is on usability, ergonomics, user testing, and optimizing the interaction between users and technical systems.

Here, you will work with cutting-edge advanced technology while developing in your professional role. Through our competence development programs, specialist courses, and internal knowledge networks, you will have excellent opportunities to deepen your expertise. If you also have an interest in sharing your knowledge, there is an opportunity to contribute as an instructor within one of our specialist areas.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have several years of experience in system or product safety, Human Factors, or MTO (Maintenance and Technical Operations). You likely have a background within the defense sector or are a university/civil engineer in a technical field. Experience with military technical systems, either as a user or technician, is considered an advantage.

As a person, you are driven, responsible, and enjoy taking initiative. You appreciate working independently while also building close collaborations with customers and colleagues. With a strong interest in technology and a desire to work at the intersection of technology, people, and operations, we see that you will thrive in the role of a system safety consultant.

You are communicative and have an easy time building good relationships, while also valuing collaboration and knowledge exchange with your colleagues. Since many of our customers operate in international environments, you must also be able to express yourself fluently in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

As the position involves work covered by defense secrecy, you are required to undergo and pass a security clearance with register check.
