We are now looking for an experienced Steel Specialist who will play a key role in developing our approach to working with steel. You will have ample opportunity to help shape the role itself, with great possibilities for independent and autonomous work. As a Steel Specialist, you will work largely within various projects as well as other office-related tasks. You will become an important part of our project teams and be responsible for ensuring quality and structure throughout the entire process – from planning to execution and follow-up. You will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and colleagues within the organization.
Main responsibilities:
- Develop and create structures for steel construction in projects
- Ensure and follow up on control plans
- Conduct factory inspections and site inspections
- Review drawings and technical documentation
- Collaborate with various project stakeholders to drive the work forward
Requirements
We are looking for someone who has:
- Several years of work experience with complex steel structures, preferably within power grid projects
- Relevant university education or equivalent work experience
- Documented knowledge and training in EN1090-Steel Construction
- Category B driver's license (travel for work purposes occurs)
- Proficiency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
It is meritorious if you have experience with:
- Contractor inspections
- Contract law
- Steel construction within the energy industry
- Experience with power lines
- Practical experience with the assembly of steel structures
As a person, we are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with others. You will work together with several different stakeholders in the role, and we value that you are good at building trust and creating good relationships. Being meticulous in your work and caring about quality is also important in this role. You need to be someone who takes initiative and drives your work forward.
