What does the job as a nursing assistant at Norlandia Elderly Care entail?

A nursing assistant at Norlandia is a valuable key person. We are looking for someone who is skilled in their professional role and enjoys meeting people in various situations. Together in a team with nurses, rehabilitation staff, and management, we collaborate around the residents to provide a good life every day.

We are looking for you with a genuine interest in older people, where your main tasks are to design safe and secure personal care and support. You support the residents in their daily lives and create conditions for a secure and meaningful everyday life. As a nursing assistant, you are responsible for providing residents with good, high-quality care and support in accordance with what has been agreed upon in the implementation plan.

These tasks include among other things:

  • Working as a contact person based on Norlandia's concept "Your Day".
  • Personal care and support, and utilizing the residents' own resources.
  • Working based on Norlandia's concept "Delicious Meal" so that our residents appreciate the food and that the meal experience adds a golden touch to everyday life.
  • Documentation according to the Social Services Act; keeping a social journal and drawing up and following up on implementation plans.
  • Planning, offering, and conducting daily activities, outdoor visits, entertainment, crafts, cultural activities, etc., both individually and in groups.
  • Performing service tasks such as apartment cleaning, laundry, escorting, and shopping, among others.
  • Receiving and performing delegated tasks, such as medication delegation.
  • Taking responsibility in ombudsman roles.
  • Actively participating in the organization's quality and improvement work.

About Granparken Elderly Care Home

Granparken is a cozy elderly care home located in Kvisthamra, Norrtälje, with close proximity to nature. 🌲💚 Granparken has 48 resident places distributed over 6 units. One unit is focused on dementia, while the remaining five are for general care. Each unit has common areas such as a kitchen, dining room, balconies, and a large common room where residents socialize, eat meals, watch TV, or have a cup of coffee 🍰 In our lovely garden, we arrange events such as barbecue evenings and musical entertainment during the summer months 🎈🎺

Staff parking is available with the option for electric vehicle charging. The city bus departs regularly every day from Granparken to Campus Roslagen and Norrtälje bus station.

  • You must have proof of the right to use the professional title "nursing assistant" from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen).
  • Previous experience in care and support is meritorious.
  • Previous experience working with dementia and palliative care is highly meritorious.
  • You need to have good knowledge of documentation.
  • You command the Swedish language well, both in speech and writing.
  • We appreciate that you have good computer skills.
  • We want you to have good knowledge of the national quality registers relevant to the operations.

Other Information

Employment Type: Permanent position

Scope: 50–80% according to agreement

Start Date: 2026-09-01

Probation Period: We apply a 6-month probation period.

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

In the event of employment, you must be able to produce a certificate from the Police Register (belastningsregistret). You must also be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, by showing citizenship within the EU/EEA or a valid work permit.
