Are you looking for a challenge where you can combine your analytical skills with hands-on work with actual products? Do you enjoy getting into the vehicle, setting up measurement equipment, and experiencing the product firsthand – instead of just sitting in front of a screen? Then you've come to the right place!
At Infotiv, we are currently looking for a Verification Engineer for a long-term assignment with one of our major automotive clients in Gothenburg. As an employee, you will become part of a flat hierarchy and open community where we support and help each other in our daily work. Our philosophy is summarized in the keywords "warm heart and sharp mind". The warm heart means we put people first – here you should feel seen, appreciated, and heard. The sharp mind stands for our high technical competence, where we encourage innovation and initiative. We want you to be able to test new things and grow in your professional role, while having the security of a stable employment with good terms and a collective agreement via Almega.
The 4 most important areas of responsibility in the role
These are the areas that define the role and where you will spend most of your time:
- Preparation and full-vehicle testing: You prepare test objects and execute tests directly in the vehicle based on established test protocols, focusing on the system's electrical properties.
- Software and hardware baselines: You update, verify, and ensure that both hardware and software maintain the correct baseline before testing.
- Troubleshooting and log analysis: You analyze test results, dig into logs to find the root cause of deviations, and create and manage bug reports.
- Technical communication: You present your test results pedagogically and communicate deviations to node owners, Product Owners, and Release Managers to increase understanding of any defects.
What does your development journey look like?
Working as a consultant with us means you get the best of both worlds: an exciting assignment at the forefront of technology with our client, combined with the security and community of Infotiv.
Onboarding and support: During your first period, you have strong support from both your manager and your colleagues at Infotiv to help you settle into the role securely. Together with the client, we ensure you receive the right introduction to the test environments, tools, and the vehicle's electrical architecture.
Ongoing dialogue: We maintain close dialogue and regular check-ins with both you and the client. We do this to ensure the assignment matches your expectations, that you are happy, and that you have the tools you need to succeed in your daily work.
Competence development: Parallel to your assignment, you always have Infotiv's network of skilled engineers behind you. We are happy to share knowledge, bounce ideas off each other regarding complex problems, and offer competence development so that you can continue to grow in your professional role.
The team and working methods
You will become part of a tight-knit team with other skilled test and verification engineers. Together, you have a super important mission: to be the buffer between system development and the end customer. By ensuring that the electrical properties and software work perfectly together in the finished vehicle, you lay the foundation for a seamless and safe customer experience on the roads.
We work agilely with short daily stand-ups and a strong focus on knowledge sharing. The team is located close to the client's physical test vehicles, and we have a relaxed culture where we bounce ideas around and help each other when complex errors appear in the logs.
Who are you today?
To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe you have:
- A university or master's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent work experience.
- A few years of experience from the automotive industry with integration and verification of embedded systems (hardware and software), preferably at the full-vehicle level.
- A structured and analytical working style – your eye for detail is your driving force in testing, and you love finding patterns in log files.
- Good communication skills, allowing you to explain deviations to various stakeholders in a friendly but effective manner.
- A valid EU driver's license (Category B) with good driving skills (as you will be testing in actual vehicles) and fluent English in both speech and writing.
- Advantageous: Experience with tools such as CANoe/CANalyser, Matlab/Simulink, scripting in Python/CAPL, or an ISTQB certification.
Application
Does this sound like your next step? Submit your application today as we interview candidates on an ongoing basis. We are particularly interested in your technical journey, who you are when the workday is over, and what you dream of developing in next!
(Note that as part of our recruitment process, we conduct drug tests and, if necessary, perform credit checks and security clearance).
We hope you want to grow and develop with us!
