About the role

Do you have experience working with IT infrastructure, email platforms, or integration solutions? Or are you a technically skilled individual looking to develop within this field? This might be the right role for you.

We are looking for an infrastructure specialist to work with the city's email and messaging infrastructure. The group is responsible for the city's central email environment, where system-generated email constitutes a large part. In addition, we manage a comprehensive infrastructure for the systems and applications within the city that rely on email functionality.

In this role, you will work with the operation, support, and further development of the city's email flows (SMTP traffic), with a special focus on the underlying technical systems. You will configure, optimize, and ensure that the right technical prerequisites are in place for a stable, secure, and well-functioning email environment.

About you

We are looking for you who have a university degree in IT infrastructure or equivalent experience assessed as comparable.

You have a few years of experience in the following areas:

• Network infrastructure
• Server operations
• Log analysis and troubleshooting
• Basic security knowledge
• Experience working in CLI/terminal environments

To succeed in this role, you must also master Swedish in both speech and writing.

Preferred qualifications

It is meritorious if you have experience in the following areas:

• Mail routing
• SMTP traffic/server
• Mail Transfer Agent (MTA)
• Exchange Online
• Security: Spam, Malware, Phishing, Antivirus, Spoofing, etc.
• M365 Email
• Cisco Email Security/Ironport
• DNS (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
• Filter solutions for email and network
• Encryption technologies (TLS)

Beyond technical competence, we place great emphasis on your skills and personal qualities. We see you as a person who is analytically minded, as you can effectively identify and analyze the core of a problem and suggest possible solutions. You also have the ability to see connections and draw logical conclusions from limited and/or complex information.

In your role, we also appreciate that you are development-oriented, i.e., you are motivated by learning new things and developing. You will come up with new ideas, take initiative for improvements, and actively monitor developments within your professional field.

You can work independently in such a way that you have the courage and ability to make your own decisions within the framework of your assignment without being dependent on others. You take responsibility for your tasks and drive the work forward. Furthermore, you have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you work towards a respectful working climate. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole.
