The Environmental and Urban Planning Administration, with over 100 employees, develops and manages the city's and countryside's infrastructure within urban planning, construction, traffic, operations, environment, and business – always with sustainability in focus.
The Traffic and Land Department, one of nine departments, has approximately 30 employees and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of streets, parks, nature reserves, and traffic systems.
Job Responsibilities
As a foreman here, you play a central role in the operation and maintenance of the city's infrastructure. You are responsible for leading, developing, and following up on work within your areas and actively contributing to the development of the business.
The role includes:
- developing, managing, and quality-assuring work processes within operations and maintenance
- planning, leading, and distributing work in smaller infrastructure projects, such as playground renovations and ground and restoration work after excavation
- ensuring that operations and external maintenance are carried out according to current function descriptions, operation instructions, and maintenance plans
- following up on production through our GPS-based quality monitoring system
- ensuring that schedules, quality, and delivery are met within the business
- driving improvement work, investigations, and follow-ups
You work closely with other functions in site management, such as operations managers, operations engineers, and foremen within operations.
On-call duties may be included in the position.
Qualifications
Required for the role:
- Post-secondary education in streets, gardening, or construction/infrastructure, or alternatively documented work experience in workforce management of land/infrastructure or gardening and outdoor environments
- Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing
- Good IT skills and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new systems
- Experience in daily use of smartphone (iPhone), tablet, or computer for quality assurance and handling feedback from citizens
- Category B driver's license for manual transmission

Meritorious Qualifications
- Experience in workforce management within municipal/state operations and maintenance of streets/parks
- Experience working in public sector operations
- Experience in workforce management within winter road maintenance
- Drawing reading/leveling
- Experience with contract law, ABT, AMA
Terms of Employment
Permanent full-time position. Start date according to agreement.
