In northern Dalarna, commitment to societal development and sustainability merges with a unique quality of life. Clean drinking water and sustainable waste management solutions create stability and quality of life in a region where people want to live, work, and stay. With the mission to promote "a sustainable life – together", Nodava AB is responsible for managing and developing facilities for water supply, sewage treatment, and waste management in the municipalities of Mora, Orsa, and Älvdalen. Nodava is a municipality-owned competence company focused on long-term sustainability, public benefit, and building capacity to meet future environmental challenges.

Nodava is seeking a Project Manager/Client Representative with northern Dalarna as the area of operation. Your primary responsibility will be to drive construction and infrastructure projects within both water and wastewater (VA) and waste operations – from preliminary studies and design to contracting, completion, and handover. The main focus of this position is the execution of investment and reinvestment projects. You will work according to Nodava’s project process and represent Nodava in the role of client, which entails clear responsibility for economy, progress, and how occupational health and safety issues are handled throughout the project.

The function is part of the Development and Projects department, which is tasked with providing strategic and long-term guidance to Nodava’s owner municipalities in meeting development needs within waste and water/wastewater. Currently, about ten employees work in the department with both individual and overlapping areas of responsibility. You will be offered significant opportunities for professional development, and as a colleague, you will become part of a competent, pleasant, and engaged team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Drive projects within water/wastewater and waste operations, both internally and with support from external consultants.
  • Contribute to or be responsible for investigations, design, calculations, and contracting.
  • Create project plans and budgets, and work with outcome reporting and forecasts.
  • Prepare tender documents independently or with internal and/or consultant support.
  • Review investigations and designs.
  • Be responsible for the project’s economy and follow-up, as well as project documentation and filing.
  • Act as the facility owner’s representative in technical and economic matters during investment and reinvestment.
  • Ensure that occupational health and safety work in projects is conducted according to current legislation.

Your Profile

You have a university degree in road and water, civil engineering, environmental science, or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way. We value good knowledge of contract law and would appreciate if you also have good insight into the client’s occupational health and coordination responsibilities in construction and infrastructure projects (AFS 2023:3).

The assignment requires experience in project management, particularly in construction and infrastructure projects. Experience from working in a client role and experience working within water/wastewater and/or waste operations is advantageous.

We are looking for you who thrive combining independent work with collaboration with others in various formations. The assignment requires a holistic view combined with a strategic approach, with the ability to weigh together complex information and different types of considerations. You are persistent in striving towards set goals and have a structured working method. Since we aim to develop our working methods through digitalization, you should also have an interest in the possibilities of digitalization. Knowledge of AutoCAD is advantageous.

Good ability to communicate clearly, well-formulated, and engagingly, both orally and in writing, is required for the assignment. You ensure that messages reach their audience and that expectations are clear for all involved parties. As the position involves travel within Mora, Orsa, and Älvdalen, a valid driver’s license (Category B) is required.

If you are motivated by working in a socially important operation and actively contributing to development with strategic significance for northern Dalarna, this is a very interesting job for you.

The employment involves participation in security-sensitive operations. A passed security check without placement in a security class is a requirement before employment.
