Case Worker for the Employment Unit in Alingsås
Welcome to Alingsås! As an employee in our municipality, you have all the opportunities to contribute to the development of operations and your workplace. With nearly 4,000 employees, we are large enough to drive change and small enough for everyone to have an impact and room for their ideas. There is room for innovators here. Together, we create Alingsås!
The Employment Unit (AME) within the Social Services Administration has the primary task of supporting unemployed residents in various ways to achieve sustainable self-sufficiency. AME works, among other things, on behalf of the Swedish Public Employment Service and the Support and Social Security Unit within the Social Services Administration.
Do you want to work with people in transition and contribute to giving more people the opportunity to develop towards work, studies, or other forms of self-sufficiency? With us, you will have a varied and meaningful role where individual-focused work is combined with collaboration, methodical change work, and operational development.
Our operations at Actus work to strengthen people's opportunities to approach the labor market through individualized support, practical activities, and collaboration with various actors. We meet people with different experiences, prerequisites, and needs, which makes the work both challenging, developmental, and significant. We are now looking for a case worker for our operations.
As a case worker, you will become an important part of creating structure, direction, and momentum in the participants' process. You work closely with the individual, but also together with colleagues and collaboration partners to find sustainable paths forward. We work as a team where we share joint responsibility for the operations' mission and help each other where needs arise.
When you start with us, we offer you:
- A secure employment
- Opportunity for holiday exchange
- Extra vacation days when you turn 40
- Competence development plan
- Parental benefit supplement
- Wellness allowance and favorable discounts via E-passi
- Bicycle benefit
We warmly welcome your application!

RESPONSIBILITIES
In the role of case worker, you receive cases, map the individual's prerequisites, and create individual plans together with the participant. You follow the individual's process towards work, studies, or other self-sufficiency and ensure that interventions are based on the individual's goals, resources, and needs.
The planning is based on knowledge from research and proven experience regarding what strengthens people's opportunities to approach the labor market. You meet people with different types of challenges, such as mental, physical, and social ill health, harmful use and addiction issues, as well as people with limited knowledge of Swedish.
A key part of the work is collaboration. You cooperate with clients, employers, healthcare, authorities, and other internal and external actors to create a cohesive and effective plan for the individual. Documentation, follow-up, and evaluation are a natural part of the work.
Together with your colleagues, you work to provide each participant with individualized and effective support. We work without hierarchy in the team and share responsibility, knowledge, and experiences so that the operations as a whole function in the best possible way.
As a case worker, you also spend a smaller part of the position guiding participants in our practical operations. You will also plan and conduct lectures, workshops, and courses with the aim of strengthening participants' knowledge, motivation, and opportunities for work or studies.
Together, we develop the operations and our working methods forward.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have a relevant bachelor's degree for the position, such as social worker, behavioral scientist, study and career counselor, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
You have experience working with labor market measures, rehabilitative processes, or equivalent support for people who need extra support to approach work or studies. You have experience meeting people with different types of life challenges, such as physical or mental ill health, social problems, addiction issues, or establishment in a new society.
We see that you are confident in individual conversations and have experience planning and conducting group activities, such as lectures, workshops, or educational initiatives.
Requirements for the position are:
- Relevant bachelor's degree
- Experience working with people in change processes
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
- Good digital competence and habit of documenting
- Category B driver's license
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience in work-oriented rehabilitation
- Experience with IPS, ACT, MI, BIP, KUB, or AWP
- Experience in collaboration between different authorities, healthcare providers, and employers
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: Start date according to agreement.

If you have protected personal data, you MUST NOT apply via the system but contact the responsible recruiting manager for handling of your application.
