Are you ready for a job that is vital to life? At the Swedish Medical Products Agency, we work every day for the health of humans and animals in Sweden.
We are now looking for an analytical, driven, and structured person who will develop and implement the unit's work on preparedness issues regarding the use of medicines for animals.
Our operations
The Unit for Veterinary Medicines in Use (ViA) is responsible for medicine safety work, medicine availability, knowledge support, and preparedness issues concerning the use of medicines for animals. The unit is divided into two groups, and collaboration takes place both within and between the unit's groups as well as with several of the other units at the Swedish Medical Products Agency. Approximately 15 employees work within the unit, possessing a large combined competence in both veterinary medicine and regulatory affairs. Several development projects are ongoing within the unit's areas of responsibility.
Your responsibilities
As the main responsible person for preparedness issues regarding the use of medicines for animals, you will lead the work from the initial phase to an established routine. This means you will have the opportunity to shape how we work with preparedness, build important relationships both within and outside the agency, and concretely contribute to the work on supply preparedness for animal medicines.
Your main tasks will include:
- Creating and managing collaboration with preparedness authorities within animal health and food.
- Identifying needs and proposing measures through surveys of target groups.
- Developing the Swedish Medical Products Agency's role in preparedness issues concerning the use of medicines for animals.
- Representing the Swedish Medical Products Agency in collaboration forums with other authorities and industry organizations.
Since the work on preparedness issues is under construction, you need to thrive in a changing environment where you get to influence direction and content.
Your background
We are looking for you who have a relevant university education, or alternatively several years of experience in preparedness work that is assessed as equivalent. You have documented experience of both strategic and operational work with preparedness issues within public operations, and are accustomed to independently driving issues and projects.
It is highly meritorious if you are a veterinarian or a livestock agronomist, or alternatively have good knowledge of medicine supply. It is also meritorious if you have worked with supply preparedness and continuity management. Especially meritorious is it if you have experience from working at a preparedness authority.
You demonstrate good ability to express yourself well in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
Your personal qualities
You are forward-looking, ambitious, and have a genuine interest in contributing to development. You like to take initiative and suggest pragmatic and effective improvements in your area, combined with a structured working method. Since you will be working with complex issues, you need to have a strategic perspective with the ability to see the big picture, analyze complex situations, and suggest and make well-founded decisions. You also have the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. You enjoy collaborating with different competencies both internally and externally and find it easy to explain and anchor both in writing and orally.
We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
