The X-ray department in Bollnäs works with diagnostic radiology in purpose-built premises with modern equipment. We perform examinations in the form of conventional X-ray examinations such as skeleton and lungs, ultrasound diagnostics, cross-sectional diagnostics with computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. Working hours are daytime Monday to Friday.

Bollnäs Hospital is a medical emergency hospital where operations collaborate in a simple way and the department also has good cooperation with colleagues at Hudiksvall Hospital. The city is located in the heart of Hälsingland and you are close to both forest, water and culture. WORK ASSIGNMENTS

As a specialist doctor with us, you work both independently but are part of a cross-professional team with other professional categories, competencies and knowledge aspects to be able to carry out a qualitative and comprehensive work for our patients. Your closest colleagues consist of radiologists, radiographers, assistant nurses and administrative staff. Primary on-call duty and back-up duty are staffed from Hudiksvall between 16:00-22:00. After 22:00, external review is used. We work daytime but there is an opportunity for on-call/standby service during evenings and weekends if you wish, but then with placement in Hudiksvall.

As a specialist doctor with us you will among other things:

• work as a general radiologist with acute and elective examinations
• the modalities you are expected to review are conventional X-ray, ultrasound, certain types of fluoroscopy and CT
• work in Sectra RIS/PACS.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a person, we see that you are sensitive and humble and have an easy time cooperating and communicating with others as the work involves close contact with colleagues, referrers and patients. The work requires that you can be flexible in your solutions to give patients the best possible care. We see that you can show calmness and are stable and controlled with a maintained realistic perspective and focus on the right things.

In the role of specialist doctor/chief physician you should:

• hold a Swedish medical license and obtained specialist competence in radiology
• have a broad general radiological profile with competence in conventional X-ray, ultrasound and CT
• alternatively have a foreign medical education, if the education is from a country outside the EU/EEA, a passed result on the National Board of Health and Welfare's theoretical knowledge test is also required
• be able to communicate unimpeded in Swedish in speech and writing at least at C1 level.

We see back-up duty competence and knowledge in MRI as positive but not a requirement.

The position is primarily permanent full-time employment but we are open to other working hours and are happy to discuss possible opportunities.
