Welcome to the Anesthesiology Group in Gävle!

We are approximately 40 doctors with a broad, combined competence in anesthesia, surgery, and intensive care. Here, you will meet a dedicated work team with strong social cohesion. We have medically responsible physicians for the units within the operational area, a medical advisor, and a study director for the resident physicians. The specialty training (ST) is well-structured, and the educational climate is excellent.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a resident physician (ST-läkare), you will be introduced to the operations in a structured manner and will gradually work more independently, in teams, with senior colleagues as support.

As a resident physician, you will, among other things, work with:

• A broad spectrum of elective and acute surgeries
• Intensive care
• Anesthesia for MRI/X-ray and ECT
• Epidurals during childbirth

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have completed a couple of years of your specialty training (ST) and, with introduction, can contribute to the operations based on that. You are structured in your work and have a good ability to work in teams with other professions. You should also be able to be flexible when the situation requires it.

In the role of resident physician, you must:

• Be a licensed physician
• Have completed internship (AT) or basic service
• Have started your specialty training (ST) and be a couple of years into it

The employment is permanent with a six-month probationary period. Before offering employment, the employer has the right to request an extract from the criminal record.
