We are looking for a Nurse in Child and Adolescent Healthcare in Region Gävleborg
At the Child and Adolescent Clinic, we receive children and young people between the ages of 0–17 who require specialist care. Here, we always prioritize the needs and rights of the children. You will become part of an engaged team of approximately 40 employees, including assistant nurses, nurses, doctors, psychologists, dietitians, and play therapists, working together to provide the best possible care and support.
On the Child and Adolescent Ward, children and young people in the same age range, 0–17 years, are treated. The ward has eleven beds and admits patients within pediatric medicine, surgery, orthopedics, ENT (ear, nose, and throat), and child and adolescent psychiatry.
We are currently seeking a nurse for a combined position where you will work 80 percent at the clinic and 20 percent on the ward. Come and make a difference with us!

Job Responsibilities
As a nurse, you play a vital role in providing safe, child-adapted, and equitable care for children and young people. You contribute with practical, pedagogical, and medical interventions, always with the best interests of the child and family in focus. In this role, you will rotate and work 20 percent on the Child and Adolescent Ward. This gives you the opportunity to broaden your skills and create valuable collaborations that strengthen both you and the team. The position includes weekend work.
As a nurse with us, you will among other things work with:
- Pedagogical and medical preparatory work
- Treatment and sample collection
- Telephone advice
- Coordinating interventions for both planned and acute visits
- Running your own nurse-led clinic
- Responsible for ward rounds and care planning on the ward
- Supporting parents so they feel secure with the care we provide

Qualifications
We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills, who is receptive and enjoys working together with others to achieve common goals. You take initiative, start activities, and achieve results. With your empathetic ability, you create a safe and welcoming environment for children, young people, and their families. Furthermore, we see that you are pedagogical with a good ability to meet children and young people on their level and convey messages in a clear and adapted manner.
In the role of nurse, you must be:
- A registered nurse (RN)
For this position, experience in child and adolescent healthcare is meritorious.

Employment Terms
Employment type: Permanent position.
