RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an Application Operations Technician who will be responsible for the administration of our purchased software. The role is central to our IT organization and involves responsibility for operations, lifecycle management, and technical support for business-critical applications.

You will be part of a team and act as the link between the business operations and the infrastructure platform. The role involves close collaboration with various business units, where you ensure that the applications function stably, securely, and according to the business's needs.

Do you want to work with application operations and administration where you will:

• Administer and be responsible for the operation of purchased applications
• Be responsible for lifecycle management: installation, patching, upgrades, and decommissioning
• Troubleshoot and handle incidents and problems in application environments
• Work with Windows Server environments and IIS
• Ensure stability, availability, and performance in the applications
• Provide technical support to the business and collaborate closely with business units
• Act as the technical contact towards suppliers
• Monitor the external environment regarding applications, versions, and security updates
• Collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams regarding operations and changes
• Contribute to compliance with internal guidelines for security and quality

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have:

• An academic degree focused on IT or equivalent
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in:
  • Application operations in a production environment or support
  • IIS
  • Practical troubleshooting, patching, and upgrades in a production environment
  • Working closely with the business and handling multiple stakeholders
  • Taking responsibility for applications throughout their entire lifecycle
• Good knowledge of Windows Server environments
• Good understanding of applications' dependencies on infrastructure and platform
• Ability to express yourself well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing

It is also meritorious if you have:

• Experience working with administration structures in practice, such as ITIL or PM3
• Experience in supplier management
• Basic database knowledge, preferably MSSQL and T-SQL
• Knowledge of SFTP and certificate management
• Experience with monitoring and logging of applications
• Experience with scripting or simpler automation
• Experience working in larger IT environments with many applications

This position is located in the IT/IOS/PL section in Örebro. Based on the business's conditions, there is an opportunity to work some time from home.

The employment is permanent and usually begins with a six-month probationary period. The start date will be agreed upon.
