Do you want to work close to the product and contribute to developing our supplier base for direct materials? We are now looking for a Tactical Buyer who wants to take a key role in driving tactical purchasing work while contributing to more strategic value creation within their categories.

In the role of Tactical Buyer, you will have clear responsibility within categories with a wide supplier base and high article volume. You will become an important enabler to create space for strategic work by taking ownership of tactical supplier work and ensuring progress in central purchasing issues.

Your main areas of responsibility:

  • Responsible for and further develop supplier relationships within assigned categories
  • Drive price negotiations and ensure competitive commercial terms
  • Manage and develop contracts and ensure compliance
  • Drive and contribute to cost-reducing initiatives, including value analysis (VA/VE) and refinement of products and articles
  • Work closely with R&D, quality, and production on technical and commercial issues related to suppliers

The role means that you are the first point of contact for supplier-related issues and handle any escalations. You work in line with established category strategy and have close collaboration with Category Managers and other internal functions, where you contribute to ensuring efficient, stable, and value-creating purchasing.

We are looking for you who

  • Have relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience in purchasing, supply chain, or technology
  • Have some experience in negotiations or a clear desire to develop in commercial dialogues with suppliers
  • Have a basic understanding of purchasing within direct materials or an interest in working close to the product and production
  • Communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing

You are an analytical and business-driven person who takes responsibility for your tasks and has a curiosity to understand both the business and the product. You thrive in a role with many contact surfaces and enjoy collaborating with functions such as R&D, quality, and production.

You work in a structured manner and have the ability to drive issues forward, while being flexible and wanting to develop within supplier work and tactical purchasing.

It is meritorious if you have

  • Experience of purchasing within manufacturing industry or direct materials
  • Interest in or experience of cost-reducing work, e.g., VA/VE
  • Some experience of supplier dialogue, negotiation, and contracts
  • Good system familiarity (e.g., business systems or purchasing tools)
  • Experience from a structured purchasing organization or similar operation, such as Toyota Material Handling, is meritorious
