Your Role
We are currently looking for an Operational Buyer for the Supply Support section within the Component Maintenance & Test Equipment department. The department's mission is to provide apparatus and system maintenance as well as spare parts to our customers who operate aircraft within the Gripen platform and the T7 Red Hawk trainer jet. We also maintain various ground support equipment and pilot equipment for our customers. The operations are conducted in Linköping (Tannefors and Malmslätt) as well as in Arboga.
In your role as a Buyer, you have operational purchasing responsibility to ensure the delivery of planned needs to our production, characterized by a strong focus on delivery.
Your main tasks will include:
- Purchasing spare parts, repairs, and services based on planned needs for aircraft components.
- Order placement and delivery monitoring.
- Processing sales orders.
- Obtaining cost calculations.
- Flow optimization.
- Reviewing cost analyses from suppliers.
The position is located in Malmslätt, Linköping.
Your Profile

You work independently, handle both standard and customer-specific purchases, and collaborate smoothly across different functions to achieve common goals.
You need to have the following qualifications:
- Experience working with operational purchasing.
- Relevant post-secondary education.
- Good proficiency in English and Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Good skills in MS Office, especially Excel.
If you also have experience in one or more of the following areas, it is considered an asset:
- Experience in purchasing within the aviation maintenance industry, defense industry, pharmaceutical industry, or other highly regulated operations.
- Experience and/or interest in export control.
- Experience working with business systems from IFS.
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the security clearance regulations in effect at the time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
