About the role
We are currently looking for a Receptionist for an exciting government agency in Uppsala. The assignment involves service-oriented work with both administrative and practical tasks. You must be able to work independently, be organized, and provide professional customer service to both visitors and internal departments.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Staffing the agency's reception and switchboard at the main office in Uppsala.
  • Receiving and registering visitors.
  • Ordering office supplies.
  • Ordering refreshments for meetings.
  • Handling mail and packages.
  • Managing access cards and keys.

The role also includes coordinating internal services at the agency's local office and supporting the maintenance team.

Assignment period and scope:
This is a full-time consulting position starting on 2026-08-10 and expected to run until 2027-02-16.

The work is performed on-site at the agency's premises.

Requirements for the role:

  • Upper secondary education or equivalent.
  • At least six (6) months of work experience as a receptionist and/or switchboard operator.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Experience using telephone switchboards and routing systems.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

Preferred qualifications:

  • At least two years of recent experience in customer service roles, such as reception, switchboard, or customer support.
  • Experience with administrative tasks.
  • Strong ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Valid B-class driver's license.
