Tunagården is located in the south, approximately 1.5 kilometers from Eskilstuna city center. Here we are close to green areas, walking paths, and an environment that creates calm and well-being for both residents and staff. The facility has 129 apartments distributed across 12 units, ten dementia units, and two elderly care homes. The positions are primarily based at the elderly care home, but work in the dementia unit may occur.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will work day shifts, evenings, and weekends according to a schedule. You will perform standard nursing tasks, medical care, laundry, cleaning, and assessments according to BPSD (Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia). Documentation is also part of the role, and you will collaborate closely with your colleagues. Of course, we work with activities for the residents that contribute to well-being here at Tunagården. We have ombudsman roles to distribute responsibilities such as change management, quality, and nutrition.

The position involves working to promote the cohesion of our work group! Even though some of us work nights and others work days, evenings, and weekends, the cohesion of everyone is crucial for the quality of work. Together we help each other create a meaningful daily life for our residents, day and night.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant (undersköterska). It is an advantage if you have experience working in elderly care. You have experience with BPSD and are accustomed to dispensing medication. You are also familiar with documentation.

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in providing person-centered care. You have a good approach towards our users and are solution-oriented when needed.

Information regarding protected title

To be eligible for a permanent position, you need to show us proof of a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen). You apply for this on their website, and we recommend that you apply now. If you were employed as a nursing assistant on a permanent basis on July 1, 2023, you only need to show an employment certificate stating the title, type of employment, and duration of employment, proving that you are covered by the transitional rules for permanent employees. If you have applied for and are waiting for proof of a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare, we can only offer you a fixed-term position as a care assistant for a maximum of 3 months.

As part of the recruitment process, a language test is conducted. Prior to employment, you must also present an extract from the police criminal record.
