About Us

We are a specialist resource within Region Sörmland with specialized knowledge regarding permanent disabilities and their consequences in daily life. Habilitation serves as a complement to other healthcare services. Our mission involves assessing and providing habilitation interventions for children, adolescents, and adults with permanent disabilities such as autism, intellectual disability, motor impairments, multiple disabilities, and traumatic brain injuries. The Habilitation Clinic in Nyköping is located at Vårdcentralen Ekensberg. We work in multidisciplinary teams, divided into children and youth teams as well as adult teams.

We are currently seeking a psychologist for the children's team in Nyköping.

We work based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). You will receive continuous external professional supervision as well as broadening education and supervision within ABA. There are good opportunities for competence development, and we encourage our psychologists to undertake specialist training. Within the region, there are both PTP (Postgraduate Training in Psychology) and STP (Specialist Training in Psychology) study coordinators to support psychologists' career development. We meet at county-wide professional meetings to discuss and collaborate on profession-specific issues. The operations are open to method development and value employees' contributions to operational development.

Your Responsibilities

• Neuropsychological and neuropsychiatric assessment, primarily with questions regarding autism.
• Assessment of intellectual disability.
• Role in patient and family education as well as group activities.
• Psychoeducation for patients and networks.
• Treatment through Applied Behavior Analysis.
• Information and counseling to networks and staff regarding patients, as well as knowledge transfer concerning various diagnoses and disabilities to other operations.

You will work together with special educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, counselors, physiotherapists, nurses, and medical secretaries in the clinic's children's team.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist with knowledge and interest in neuropsychology and neuropsychiatry. Experience in assessments and experience in leading group activities are meritorious. Experience working with the target groups of habilitation as well as an interest in method development is desirable. The ability to work both in a team and independently is required. A valid driver's license (Category B) is a requirement. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.
