Work in the reception at Norrqvarn

Norrqvarn has long been an attractive tourist destination during the summer, welcoming both national and international guests who come to experience and enjoy the Göta Canal, nature, activities, good food, and create beautiful memories. Norrqvarn is the perfect base to explore the surrounding area. We offer a variety of accommodations: hotel rooms, glamping tents, unique stumps, and mushroom-shaped cabins. Our summer restaurant serves throughout the day, from breakfast to lunch and dinner. On-site, you will also find the popular mini canal, an ice cream kiosk, and bicycle and canoe rentals.

About the role

This is the perfect role for you if you want to enter the hotel and restaurant industry without needing to be “super advanced” from the start. You will receive on-site training and work closely with colleagues in both the reception and the restaurant. Here, you will meet many happy guests from near and far and be an important part of their experience – from the first “Hello!” to the last “Welcome back!”. The reception is open 7 days a week from morning until evening (but no nights), so working hours vary.

Examples of tasks

• Check-in and check-out, guest services, and tourist information
• Make reservations for overnight stays, restaurants, and activities
• Process reservations for restaurants, conferences, and events
• Assist with breakfast, simple serving, dishwashing, and other tasks as needed
• Handle payments at the restaurant cash register and receive table bookings
• Take simple orders at the bar
• Rent out bicycles and canoes
• Daily checklists and maintaining order in the reception/entrance area

• Take responsibility and can work independently when needed
• Enjoy a fast-paced and varied work environment
• Speak Swedish and are comfortable with English
