Do you want to help develop a more connected and data-driven factory? Here you will play a key role in designing, developing, and monitoring production networks – contributing to the smart industrial environments of the future.
Why Seco?
Production at Seco in Fagersta is far from the image many have of the traditional cemented carbide industry. Here you will work in a technologically advanced environment where OT and IT meet, and where your work makes a real difference in production.
- Work close to production and influence the development of smart factories.
- Combine OT and IT in a modern and technology-intensive environment.
- Become part of an engaged and inclusive corporate culture.
About the job
You are responsible for ensuring stability, security, and continuous development of the network infrastructure in an industrial production environment. The work is carried out in close collaboration with production engineers as well as colleagues in maintenance, IT, and global functions, where you build bridges between industrial automation systems and OT infrastructure.
Your responsibilities
- Design secure architecture and functionality for OT networks
- Develop segmentation, zoning, and cybersecurity approaches
- Manage and further develop OT firewall rules and network flows from a risk-based perspective
- Create and update technical documentation, risk assessments, and compliance materials
- Analyze and document network flows between OT systems, equipment, and adjacent IT services
- Support the commissioning of new equipment and collaborate closely with technology and production teams
Location and flexibility
The position is based in Fagersta and involves close collaboration with production. You have the opportunity to combine on-site work with remote work a few days a week, depending on tasks and business needs.
Your profile
You have a strong interest in network technology, preferably linked to production environments, and thrive in a role where practical work meets technical analysis. With your experience, you contribute to developing structure, segmentation, and long-term working methods within OT networks.
You also have:
- A strong background in networking and cybersecurity within IT/OT infrastructure.
- Experience working in production-critical environments with high availability requirements.
- Practical experience applying the Purdue model and segmentation strategies.
- Experience troubleshooting complex network environments.
- Knowledge of principles, standards, and frameworks for industrial cybersecurity (e.g., IEC 62443, ISO 27001, NIST, EU CRA).
- Experience with firewalls, VLANs, routing, network troubleshooting, traffic flow analysis, and industrial communication patterns is a plus.
As a person, you are engaged and self-motivated, tackling challenges with an analytical and structured approach. Collaboration comes naturally to you, and you communicate clearly while building good relationships. With a practical mindset and an innovative approach, you find solutions where others see obstacles.
