The Division for Joint Insurance Matters administers the income that forms the basis for sickness benefit and the qualification for social security. The Business Area for Legal Support is responsible for the division's review operations, litigation in court, and operational legal support. The business area consists of two units and around 50 employees. In the management group of the business area, we have a close and supportive collaboration. To the unit responsible for operational legal support and litigation in court, we are now seeking a Unit Manager.

As a Unit Manager here, you will collaborate closely with your direct manager, colleagues in the management group, your employees, and the operations. You need to have integrity, the ability to think innovatively, and the courage to work together with employees to increase the legal quality of the division.

As a manager within the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, you work according to the agency's mandate from the government. You are responsible for ensuring that the unit's operations are legally secure and efficient, as well as characterized by good service. You lead and steer based on trust, respect, and care, with a holistic view of the operations. Through dialogue about the purpose, goals, and strategies of the operations, you create conditions for your employees to be able and willing to take significant responsibility for the team's results and their own development. The role of Unit Manager includes personnel responsibility as well as result and follow-up responsibility for the unit. Your commitment to leadership is high, and the public sector's values permeate your work. By balancing both short-term and long-term demands on results and sustainable operations, you offer your employees a health-promoting work environment. You have a good ability to adapt your leadership style based on what the situation and task require. In your role, you will, among other things, work closely with lawyers, which requires a very good ability to analyze and structure complex problems as well as to identify and clearly communicate solutions. A focus of the role is also to utilize the business area's combined competence to improve the division's legal quality.

You have a genuine interest in sharing your knowledge and actively contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment. As a skilled communicator, both at the individual and group level, you represent the Swedish Social Insurance Agency in both internal and external collaborations and contribute to strengthening our relationships and our mandate.

One position, permanent, full-time, with an start date of November 16, 2026. Probation period may apply. Some positions with us involve participation in security-sensitive operations. To be employed in such a position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) is required.
