The International Centre is a unit within the university's shared administration. The focus of the operations is to actively contribute to the internationalization efforts at Gothenburg University. The International Centre creates conditions for strategic and in-depth international collaborations through cooperation with the university's leadership, staff, and students, as well as with partners around the world. The goal is that all studies at Gothenburg University should include international perspectives. One way to gain international experience is to participate in the Erasmus program, either through exchange studies or internships.

At the International Centre, we are currently 28 employees, and we sit in bright office premises on Rosenlundsgatan 8 – a stone's throw from Feskekörka in central Gothenburg. We place great emphasis on collaborating and supporting each other to achieve a creative and good working environment.

About the position

We are now looking for you who want to contribute to the development and quality assurance of Gothenburg University's management of the Erasmus program. The role combines case processing and financial administration with development work to create efficient, legally secure, and user-friendly working methods. Your tasks include, among other things, processing grants for studies and internships within the Erasmus program. You are responsible for ensuring that documentation, decisions, and payments are handled correctly and in accordance with the program's regulations. The work also involves ongoing contact with students and employees as well as partners, e.g., partner universities.

Gothenburg University is continuously working to develop and digitize the administration around the Erasmus program. As part of this work, you will contribute to simplifying administrative flows, strengthening quality and efficiency, and making it easier for target groups to take advantage of the program's opportunities.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • Relevant academic education or other education and experience that the employer considers equivalent.
  • Experience in case processing and administrative work involving financial management.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and experience working structured with large amounts of information.
  • Good ability to communicate orally and in writing in Swedish and English.
  • Experience working in a process-oriented manner.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience working in the higher education sector or public operations.
  • Experience in international operations or international programs.
  • Experience in digitization and improvement work.

At the same time, you are unpretentious and enjoy switching between operational tasks and development work. Employment

The employment is a fixed-term position for twelve months with a scope of 100% (full-time) located at the International Centre within the Shared Administration, Gothenburg University, Gothenburg.
