The Business Area (VO) of Hematology, Oncology and Radiation Physics is one of Skåne University Hospital's (Sus) largest and operates in Helsingborg, Lund, and Malmö. Patients with cancer are referred from the entire southern healthcare region to be treated at our wards and clinics.

At the Breast Oncology Clinic in Malmö, we meet patients who have or have had breast cancer, both before, during, and after treatment. We treat both patients with curative intent and patients with chronic breast cancer. The team surrounding the patient and at the clinic consists of nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, and doctors. Our nurses are divided into two teams: one team of contact nurses who primarily work with tablet treatments, and one team of treatment nurses who administer intravenous treatments. We are currently looking for a nurse for a temporary position within our treatment team.

We are a clinic focused on the patient, and we continuously work to develop our operations and staff through improvement projects and competence development. We highly value a good work climate, effective collaboration, and high patient satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a treatment nurse with us, you will be the responsible nurse for a number of patients whom you follow throughout their treatment. You meet the patient after the doctor's initial consultation and provide information about the treatment and side effects. According to the patient's treatment plan, the patient comes here for assessment and their intravenous treatment. As a nurse, you are an important part of the patient's journey here; many are in the middle of their lives and need support physically, psychologically, socially, and existentially.

You work in a group, but the work is relatively independent. You are also responsible for answering patients' questions and thoughts that arise during treatment, primarily via our e-services, but also by phone.

The work is scheduled during daytime hours, Monday to Friday. The advertisement covers two temporary positions. One temporary position lasts for approximately one year, and the other for approximately two years.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the right to practice in Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at a minimum level of C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement.

It is meritorious if you have experience administering cytostatics and experience working within breast cancer care.

We want you to be a person who enjoys planning and structuring, as this is required in the work surrounding the patient, and who is both a team player and able to work independently. You are a nurse who is confident in your role and with patients.
