Your Role

We are currently looking for a person to join our commissioning team (test, verification, and validation) at Saab Dynamics. We are looking for someone with an engineering background who is proficient in both hardware and software, and who can understand the technical installations at the system level within projects.

The role involves creating documentation such as test specifications, test reports, and instructions, based on the system requirements. This also includes configuring our own and the customer's systems for testing or operational use.

You will also participate in project-related meetings to present technical aspects that need to be considered. You will help projects understand available resources and what needs to be developed.

Travel to the customer occurs regularly throughout the year with good planning prior to the trip. Tests are conducted in the lab before being tested in the customer environment. Additionally, troubleshooting may involve reviewing or understanding code, troubleshooting signals, using oscilloscopes, and checking cabling between different system elements.

You should be able to get up to speed with tasks independently by seeking out the necessary information. Related to this, you should also be able to take the lead in, for example, fault investigations, analysis of test results, and documentation.

Your Profile

To thrive in this role, you should appreciate the combination of working both close to the customer and in a team with your colleagues. The work requires the ability to structure, plan, and prepare together with the team, and then travel to where the commissioning takes place.

You should be flexible and able to work independently when needed. It is an advantage if you can reprioritize tasks and make your own decisions to complete tasks in the right order to benefit the project.

You will be one of Saab Dynamics' faces outward, both towards customers and partners. Therefore, it is important that you can adapt to different people and situations to act professionally and responsibly with integrity.

We are looking for you who have:

• A degree in engineering in e.g. systems engineering, electronics, measurement technology, software, or a similar field
• Experience with verification, testing, and validation of systems
• Good knowledge of English and Swedish, both spoken and written
• Good system proficiency and experience working with troubleshooting in e.g. Linux and Windows
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

Merits if you have:

• Driver's license (Category C)
• Knowledge of communication interfaces such as Ethernet, RS-422, and similar.

The position requires that you undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail a requirement for specific citizenship.
