Markverkstad Syd (Southern Land Workshop)

In Ronneby, we work extensively with heavy and light wheeled vehicles, tracked vehicles, as well as power units, fuels, and air base materials.

 

The Land Workshops (MvE) are a department within the Army Staff, performing maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' ground equipment and air base materials, and delivering technical system support. This involves maintenance in the form of supervision, repairs, manufacturing, dismantling/scraping, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and material inspection. The Land Workshop unit delivers services according to customer requirements.

You will belong to Markverkstad Syd, which operates in Tofta, Revingehed, Ronneby, and Karlskrona, and has approximately 180 employees.

Main Responsibilities

As a spare parts technician, you will work with spare parts preparation, ensuring and quality-assuring the basis for spare parts orders, and determining whether spare parts should be procured internally or externally. You will initiate, monitor, and close customer orders in our support systems. The work also includes searching for and ordering materials, handling goods, and other warehouse management as well as warehouse care. Daily work involves ordering/issuing spare parts, receiving goods/materials, and ongoing follow-up and inventory. Your work may also involve supporting the needs of other workshops, which can usually be done remotely from your regular workplace.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • At least a two- or three-year upper secondary education in vehicle technology or other education/competence acquired through professional experience that the employer deems equivalent
  • Experience in logistics or spare parts management
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Good computer skills
  • Category B driver's license

Merits

  • Swedish Armed Forces' education as a spare parts technician or on any vehicle system
  • Forklift license
  • High computer proficiency and good knowledge of the Office package (Word, Excel)
  • Experience working in the SAP system PRIO

Other

Employment type: Permanent employment starting with a 6-month probation period.

Employment level: Full-time, daytime hours - shift work may be applied.

Work location: Markverkstad Syd / Ronneby

Start date: As soon as possible after agreement.

 

The work also entails requirements for travel and duty, both domestic and international.

The position is a civilian role.
