System Administrator for Payroll Unit, Järfälla Municipality

We are looking for a System Administrator for the central Payroll Unit in Järfälla Municipality. This position is one of two system administrator roles, and together you will form part of a payroll team that also includes a Payroll Manager, eleven payroll consultants, and an administrator.

The Payroll Unit belongs to the HR Department within the Municipal Executive Administration and is tasked with supporting the municipality's operations with payroll administration, as well as providing support and guidance on matters related to payroll.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a System Administrator and Payroll Consultant, you will primarily work with our payroll system, Personec P, and related support systems. In addition to payroll preparation work, your main responsibilities will be:

• Ensure stable and correct daily operation of the systems.
• Ensure that interpretations of laws and agreements are reflected in the payroll system.
• Handle incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Submit cases and place orders with system suppliers and the municipality's IT department.
• Configure the payroll system, maintain tables, handle file transfers, and perform payroll runs.
• Administer permissions in payroll and HR systems.
• Plan version upgrades and perform testing.
• Develop procedures and instructions.
• Provide support to payroll consultants and other colleagues regarding system issues, as well as conduct training.
• Suggest improvements based on digitalization opportunities to achieve even higher quality and efficiency in all parts of the payroll process, and participate in projects related to system development and change management.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have education within payroll, preferably with a focus on system administration, or have another education that the employer considers equivalent. You have a great interest in system issues, digitalization, and development. We want you to have worked with payroll preparation and have good knowledge of the payroll process and an understanding of how it affects operations and integrated systems. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of Swedish and Excel. It is meritorious if you have worked in Personec P.

You are meticulous, responsible, and have a strong focus on quality. In your professional role, you act professionally and have experience providing system-related support to both employees and managers.
