We are now looking for a teacher for the Learning Center who has a strong belief in every individual's ability to contribute.

About Us

At the Learning Center, we put learning in focus and we see multiculturalism as an asset for everyone's learning and development. As a teacher with us, you will meet, among others, newly arrived adults who have just started their education in Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), students who want to complete their basic and upper secondary school qualifications, and people who wish to study further at the university level. The position also includes preparing adults for the labor market within the activity requirement.

Your Assignment

As a teacher in Swedish/Swedish as a Second Language within adult education, you play a central role in our participants' progression towards work and further studies. The assignment involves both teaching and active work related to the new activity requirement and the municipality's overall work with competence supply.

You will:

• Plan, implement, follow up, and develop your teaching based on adult needs.
• Work on language and knowledge development with a focus on the individual's goals and the labor market's needs.
• Contribute to the participants' establishment through measures linked to the activity requirement.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external actors.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Swedish or Swedish as a Second Language with the eligibility to teach at the basic level. It is an advantage if you have previous work experience from adult education.

We are looking for you who are flexible in your way of teaching and good at creating and maintaining relationships. As a teacher, you are engaged and dare to think new with the students' best interests in mind. You have the ability to lead and adapt the teaching to different individuals' prerequisites for learning, while maintaining the holistic perspective. You enjoy working together with others.

For the position, it is required that you can communicate fluently in Swedish and English; additional languages are an advantage. A B-driver's license is a requirement. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
